Jeffrey A. Gorrell is a licensed California Architect and Firm Principal. No stranger to design, he is a second generation architect who comes from a strong family tradition in which his father practiced as a successful architect in Albuquerque for many years. Jeff received his Bachelor of Architecture degree in New Mexico in 1978 and relocated to Santa Barbara in 1980, working as a designer and project architect with several notable local architectural firms before joining the firm of Lenvik & Minor Architects (LMA) in 1998. In 2003, he received partnership status and is currently President of the Firm. Jeff is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and past Board Member of the Local Chapter, Past President of the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara, and Past Chairman of the Santa Barbara City Architectural Board of Review.
Jeff’s passion for design extends to community involvement, education, and historical advocacy. He has volunteered for many years giving downtown historical walking tours, and served as a docent for the Pearl Chase Society historical home walking tours. He has served local community organizations, volunteering his time to Las Aletas, assisting the disabled, and has volunteered as a fund raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He is an avid hiker, enjoys ocean related activities and golfing.
As principal architect, Jeff has been responsible in the design and management of a variety of the firm’s projects including commercial, corporate, industrial, medical, retail, mixed-use and residential.
